Just because your home is brand new doesn’t mean it’s ready for move-in. While our pre-slab and pre-drywall inspections help identify concerns before critical components are covered up, our New Construction Pre-Closing Home Inspection evaluates the completed home once electrical, plumbing, gas, and air conditioning systems are fully installed and operational. Our experienced inspectors assess these systems, appliances, roofing, interior and exterior components, and more, with a close eye on function, safety, and craftsmanship. It’s common for new homes to have issues ranging from unfinished details to significant defects – even after the builder’s final walkthrough. Identifying these concerns before closing gives you the opportunity to request repairs while the home is still vacant, helping reduce the headaches, disruptions, and repeated repair visits that can be much harder to manage after you move in.

What’s Included

  • Full Home Inspection – Documents observed material deficiencies related to the function and safety of the home’s major systems (roof, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen appliances, exterior, interior, attic, foundation & structure, etc.) with a closer eye on quality and craftsmanship. We go above and beyond the industry accepted minimum standards and return our easy-to-read report by early the next morning, perfect for turning into your builder for repairs to get made prior to closing.
  • Whole-House Infrared Scan – Adds a layer of protection by utilizing FLIR Infrared Thermal Imaging Technology to scan interior home surfaces to help identify common hidden deficiencies in New Construction homes such as roof leaks, plumbing leaks, moisture intrusion, missing insulation, leaking ducts, and more. Any findings would be included in your home inspection report. This is included at no additional charge with every new construction inspection!
